What are the various SmartWorks editions available to the user?

SmartWorks-Personal Edition
This is for single user and can work only in the stand-alone mode on a Single PC. We expect the users of this to be individuals who want to increase their personal productivity. Project Managers and Team leaders who would like to evaluate SmartWorks can try the latest trial version. SmartWorks PE has all the functions of other editions (barring multi user and work group collaboration features) and can be used by people for managing projects and tracking various issues, which they are involved in

Multi User Editions of SmartWorks
SmartWorks-Home Office (HO):This is ideally suited for people who run home-based operations and who have a small Local Area Network that has around 5 nodes. Again this is also suited for tiny offices who have only around 5 users or less logged in to LAN. This edition offers ALL the features offered in other editions of SmartWorks and can be used as an effective work group collaboration tool and productivity measurement tool. If your home based operation involves only you, then you don't need to use this edition. We would suggest you to go for SmartWorks-PE

SmartWorks-Small Office (SO): This is ideally suited for people who have a small office having a LAN, which has around 10 nodes. This edition offers ALL the features offered in other editions of SmartWorks. You can install the SmartWorks server only at one work site. (i.e. if your company has two branches), you can run your SmartWorks server on one of the servers in a branch, while the clients can be installed on upto 10 nodes in both the branches

SmartWorks-MINI: This is ideally suited for people who have a small office having a LAN, which has around 20 nodes. This edition offers ALL the features offered in other editions of SmartWorks. You can install the SmartWorks server only at one work site. (i.e. if your company has more than one branch), you can run your SmartWorks server on one of the servers in a branch, while the clients can be installed on upto 20 nodes

SmartWorks-Professional (Pro): This is the edition for medium sized companies who have around 50 employees in their organization. It can also be used by larger organization for a specific division/department whose users are around 50 in number. You can install upto 50 clients. Again you can install the SmartWorks Server only at one Server machine. In case you are interested in installing SmartWorks server on two or more server machines you need to buy two or more site licenses for this software

SmartWorks- Enterprise (EE): This is ideally suited for bigger companies who have more than 50 users using the LAN. This software can be installed only at one Server machine (single site). However you may install unlimited number of clients at multiple branches/divisions even if they are separated geographically. In case you are interested in installing on two or more servers you need to buy two or more site licenses for this software

Do you have a SmartWorks Trial version?

Why are some of the options grayed in SmartWorks PE?
SmartWorks PE is a personal edition of the SmartWorks Package. It does not have features that are specific to Workgroup Collaboration. If you want SmartWorks as a collaboration tool where you can exchange your plans, update status, inform team members of the progress, then you need to go for other editions of SmartWorks. Can I distribute the SmartWorks-PE through CDs?
You cannot distribute any editions of SmartWorks

What are the default applications that come with SmartWorks?
Project Planner - Project Management software

Do you have SmartWorks released in other languages apart from English?

What are the third party tools required for SmartWorks to run?
SmartWorks does not require any third party tools to run. It requires some .ocx controls like msflxgrd.ocx, mschrt20.ocx, tabctl32.ocx that are provided along with the installation

Is there a way by which I can transfer SmartWorks database to databases such as Oracle, SQL server?
Yes, SmartWorks provides 'Export as XML' feature, which can be used to save SmartWorks database in XML format. From here, data can be moved to any database, which is XML compatible

Can I add more fields to the database?
No, that is not possible at present. We may be able to provide it in our future release

Is it possible to purchase your program on a disk instead of a download?
Our e-Commerce provider (share-it) can fulfill this requirement. They may charge extra (around US$ 10 or so) for the disc copy
