I get the message "Attempt to connect was rejected." when I try to connect to the server? |

| This is because you are not able to connect to the SmartWorks due to one of the following reasons: |
| i. |
If you have not installed the SmartWorks Server, so SmartWorks server is not available. Please install the server on at least one PC on the network. |
| ii. |
Server is installed but is not running. On windows platform: Go to Start / Programs / SmartWorks / SmartWorks server and run the server. When the server is running, server icon (a white, blue dot) can be seen as tray icon on the desktop. On Windows NT : To run the server as service, go to Control Panel / Services and in the dialog box, select 'spotsNTS' as the service to run and click Start. |

You are not specifying the correct IP address of the machine where the SmartWorks server is running. Please specify it using menu Options/Configure server in SmartTracker. |

I have specified the IP address of the SmartWorks Server in menu Options/Configure Server, even then it says "Attempt to connect was rejected." I have checked the server to be running on that machine? |

The SmartWorks Server may be running at a different port no. from the value which is supplied at the client. Please right click the SmartWorks server icon for Options and here check the port at which the server is running and specify this port number while configuring the server at the client. |

I am trying to login to a project and supplying the correct password, but still the message says "Authentication failure"? |
|
For the person logging in for the first time as admin, the default user id is "admin" and password is "admin". For any other user, the default password is his/her user ID itself.
a. Turn off the CAPS LOCK if it is on.
b. Try your user-id as a password.
c. If none of these work then use 'Forgot Password' option to get a new password. |

I'm the manager for 4 projects in SmartTracker. Can I avoid logging in each time I have to switch between these projects? |

Yes, you can. Please go to Options /Preferences and enable the 'Allow auto storing of passwords' option and login to the project once. Next time onwards you will have to just double click on the project name to login. |

I am in the process of creating a new project in SmartWorks- SmartTracker. I am creating an IssueNRisks project to track all the issues that arise from us developers. I would like the wording to say: Issue details for 100001 instead of Report details for 100001. How can I achieve this? |

Since you want the wording to be 'Issue Details' instead of 'Report details', it means you want to track issues / risks concerned to your developers. So in this case Issues / Risks becomes your entity to be tracked. Please do the following to achieve this. While adding a new project, in the 4th step of project wizard, in the edit box for 'Entity to be tracked' please fill in 'Issues/Risks'. Once the project is created, and you start submitting your Issues, you will see the words you wanted. |

Can I see only those projects to which I'm related? |

Yes. In Options/Preferences use 'My Projects' dialog box to choose and add the projects of your choice to the list. On refreshing the project list after this setting, only the projects that you have chosen will be listed. |
