Welcome to the Templates section of SmartWorks.

Project Planning is an important aspect of the project's execution. The project or project tasks involved are most of the times similar to the generic hardware or software project. Here is an attempt to make planning easier for our customers, through the use of templates. Following are a few templates that give a bird's view of how the project and the project plan may look like.


Audit Preparation Process	:	This template outlines the prominent tasks in the audit preparation process. The auditing team can utilize this template to manage the resources, systematize auditing tasks into phases, track dependencies, and then publish assignment and project information to the team members and auditing firm. This process requires the coordinated efforts of both internal team members and the auditing firm.
Commercial Construction Project Plan	:	This template contains the basic Work Breakdown Structure(WBS), that can be identified for any commercial construction projects.
Customer service ramp up	:	This template helps a customer service organization set up a support structure for their new product. It can be modified to suit the requirements of most products.
Six Sigma DMAIC cycle	:	This template outlines the phases and key activities in the standard Six Sigma life cycle. The different phases identified are Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control phases.
Franchise Opening Project Schedule	:	This template lists the prominent activities which will be carried out while opening a new franchise store. The activities are generalized such that, it can be customized to meet the requirements of all franchise stores.
Infrastructure Deployment Plan	:	In today's complex world of information systems, a defined process and team approach for infrastructure deployment projects is imperative. The purpose of this template is to provide a framework that will assist organizations to successfully implement the solutions that meet or exceed the predefined vision and business objectives.
New Product Launch Plan	:	This template helps define and manage the key components in a strong product launch plan: clearly defined sales objectives; assured sales channel readiness; promotional functions; and resources to track, monitor, and account for execution.
Request for proposal plan	:	When you're writing a request for proposal, you need to define the scope of what you expect them to do. A request for proposal can help you outline your expectations and their responsibilities. This template helps to save setup time to manage the request for proposal.
Software project	:	This is a template for a software project
Hardware project	:	This is a template for a hardware project
Dreamhouse project	:	This is a template that has the activities involved in building a house
Wedding Planner	:	This is a template that has the activities involved in a wedding preparation and arrangements
Building a website	:	This is a template that has the activities involved in developing a new website

How to use all these templates?

To view the templates: Download the necessary template file. The file is in the Project Planner Reader (.ppr) format. You can use the Project Planner Reader to view the file. The Reader is available at, http://www.smartworks.us/demo/ppreader10.exe
Install the reader and use it to view the downloaded .ppr file.

To import the template to the Project Plan: Download the necessary template file. The file is in the Project Planner Reader format (.ppr) format. Save the file on your PC. Invoke the Project Planner and login as Manager to a project. Use the menu option 'File - Import Data - Import from Reader'. Open the .ppr file and import. You can choose to replace the entire plan if there is already one or append to the existing plan.
